Flaming, Disrespect, Harassment, and Inappropriate Content: Mute/IP-Mute
Many communities are composed of different backgrounds and beliefs, and we take the value of equality seriously. Remember that each person will take an insult differently depending on these values.

  • a. The use of inappropriate and/or disrespectful language towards another’s belief, race, religion, and harassing members is not tolerated. While we have an ignore system, we expect members to act accordingly towards each other. Racial slurs will result in an automatic mute without warning.​
  • b. Accusing other players of breaking rules also falls into this category, and is a mutable offense. This includes, but is not limited to, accusing another player of scamming, hacking, botting, faking giveaways, faking drop parties, or otherwise breaking any rules. This also includes accusations towards clans, not only limited to individual players. If you have appropriate evidence of a rule being broken, make a report with it.​
  • c. Falsely advertising any type of giveaway or drop party is also a mutable offense. Related to this, gambling clan chats are not to be advertised over yell or anywhere in public chat, other than at ::gamble itself.​
  • d. Content that is advertised and/or discussed via the yell channel, public chat, or clan chat that is deemed inappropriate per the staff member’s discretion will be dealt with accordingly. This includes but not limited to; pornographic material, debates about sensitive topics, etc.​
  • e. Continually messaging any staff member in regards to wanting a staff position will not be tolerated, members must earn these positions. If a player is harassing other staff members about wanting a staff position, it will result in a mute and/or permanent ban at the discretion of the staff team. It should also be noted that if you currently have a staff application open on the forums and bring it to other staff members, it will result in an automatic denial.​

2. Advertising: Perm Ban
Advertisement of another RSPS related community is strictly forbidden and a permanent removal of the community will be issued. There will be no chance of appeal.

  • a. Commonly known links (e.g. Rune-Server, Runelocus, and YouTube) are fine and will be permitted. Links are expected to lead directly to where they say they're going (e.g. advertising a YouTube link, and then it links to a whole new site; no matter if it's harmful or not).​
  • b. Members wanting to advertise another link outside of RSPS related material can send a link to an administrator and await approval.​

3. Spamming: Mute/Ban
Spamming on elemental will not be permitted, acts of such feats will be acted upon accordingly by the staff members of elemental. We should all be acting as mature as we can while on eleemntal and respect others wishes as well, those who continue to do such feats will be removed from elemental if needed.

  • a. Yell should not be abused under any circumstances, take a few seconds between each yell and send another message. The yell channel is a privilege, not a right.​
  • b. Auto-typers are no longer allowed for yell channel nor public chat, as we now have an auto-yell system in place, similar to the public auto-chat feature.​
  • c. You may not advertise your gambling clan anywhere outside of the gambling area (castle wars).​

4. Misleading Links, Hacking, and Threats: IP-Ban​

  • a. Misleading links are never allowed on the server, we expect links to open up to us what it was advertised for. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a permanent removal from the community.​
  • b. Hacking in any shape or form will result in a permanent removal from the community, simply put.​
  • c. Threatening members that will put their life, security, and reputation at risk will result in a permanent removal from the community.​
  • d. Sharing private and personal information anywhere on the server is a serious offense and will not be tolerated, resulting in punishment without warning.​

5. Punishment Evasion: Ban/IP-Ban
Punishments that are handed out towards members is one of the reasons communities maintain a balanced environment. Punishments that are evaded are not taken lightly. If you feel like you deserve another chance then take it seriously and quickly make an appeal; don’t make a scene.

6. Third Party Software: Jail/Ban
The use of third party software that allows a member to have an unfair advantage in any way will result in a punishment that the staff member attending sees fit, this usually is a temporary ban, but can result in permanent ban. We want a fair environment where all players have the equal chance of all features. This is including but not limited to auto-clickers, auto-typers, bots, ghost-mousing, auto-hotkeys, etc., there's no reason to risk it!





8. Encouraging Others to Break Rules: Mute/Ban
Members that are somehow encouraging others to break a rule whether or not he/she understands the rule will result in a mute or ban at the discretion of the staff.

9. Bug Abuse: Perm Ban/IP-Ban
Abuse of a bug or glitch that allows a player to somehow have an advantage over another or the server itself is not tolerated. We ask all members to report them as soon as they're found otherwise a permanent removal from the community will be issued.

10. Refunds, Scams, and Disconnects , etc.​

  • a. Disconnections will not be refunded, feel free to create a thread about it and stating the problem so the problem can be fixed though.​
  • b. Donations will ONLY be refunded if he/she has NOT been given their items or position (forums, server) after 72 hours, otherwise, a refund is not required. Remember, items that have been obtained through our donation system that is lost at their own doing will not be refunded.​
  • c. Reset of the server or forums will be refunded if he or she has posted valid proof of their purchase in the relative board, otherwise, a refund is not required on our part.​
  • d. Different types of scams include creating accounts that are imposters of other players, trade scamming (abusing trade mechanics), item scamming (intentionally deceiving other players when trading items, i.e. saying a Zamorakian spear is a Zamorakian hasta), duel arena scamming, gambling without the funds to do so, player-owned store scamming, gambling or staking with items that have been lent to you and do not belong to you, and not paying out after losing a gamble. Attempts at scamming, regardless if they are unsuccessful, will also be treated as scams.​
  • e. In regards to scamming via gambling/staking items that do not belong to you, we will require proof of an agreement between both players, showing the trade interface of items being lent and the chatbox showing a verbal confirmation of the lending. If a player is found gambling/staking any items that do not belong to them, it will result in a permanent ban on first offense, and removal from the community if it were to happen again.​
  • f. Scammed members may be eligible for a refund on the basis of losing items/gold from their account; self-holds for gambling are not eligible for refunds, as no items have been lost from the account. Refunds are not guaranteed. In order to be eligible for a potential refund, a proper report must be made with video evidence of the scam; this video must show each player in agreement to what is being staked/gambled, through the conclusion of the gamble, including each flower that is planted for flower poker. Please note that we will not be accepting photo-reports of members being scammed, it must be a video or it will not be handled. Players are encouraged to use any staff member as middleman to offer a safer alternative, as well as encouraged to record every gamble/stake that you choose to do. Please do note that this type of scam will be punished severely, with a permanent ban on the first offense and an IP-ban on the second offense. All types of scam offenses are unappealable.​
  • g. Account sharing is at the discretion of the player. If a player chooses to share an account and that account thereafter is jailed, muted, banned, or otherwise punished, the original owner of the account is responsible for whoever logs into it and these punishments will remain in place.​
  • h. If your account has been hacked, you may be eligible for a refund; as stated previously, refunds are never guaranteed.​
  • i. Glitch refunds will ONLY be refunded if the member has 100 percent proof, and has proof of the items prior to the glitch happening. Note that if a developer (or whoever has spawning abilities) does not see the proof to be enough, it can be declined and a refund is not required.​

11. Yell Channel - Mute/Yellmute
You may not use the Yell Channel to advertise clan-chats unless you’re a part of the staff team, or given permission by another staff member. This includes but not limited to gambling chats, clan channels and so forth. Keep in mind that requesting approval is accepted but is not required for us to accept.

  • a. Use of the Yell command to flame-bait, flame, troll, or other abuse of the command will not be tolerated and your rights to the command can be removed without being reinstated in the future.​
  • b. Luring members over the Yell channel is also against our rules and can result in the removal of your command without being reinstated at a later time.​
  • c. If you are choosing to advertise a stream or sell/purchase items over the yell channel, you will be asked to use the auto-yell feature that has been implemented. Auto-typers over yell are no longer permitted.​
  • d. You may not afk and advertise over yell. This includes POS, forum threads, and other types of in-game advertisements.​

12. PvP *Player vs. Player*
Elemental is not held responsible for members who have lost, disconnected, etc. while in the wilderness. For the most part, going into the wilderness is at people's own risk, however, we have but a few rules:

  • a. PVP-Farming will be an automatic ban or IP-ban from the server and no chance of appeal. PVP-Farming includes, but is not limited to, asking for free kills, paying others for kills, and any other non-legitimate kill in PVP that is not earned with an actual fight.​
  • b. Luring is apart of MANY RSPS communities, and RuneScape itself. It is not punishable on Elemental however, the only exception to this rule is luring staff asking for help, or anything else along the lines will result in a punishment up to and/or including a ban.​
  • c. Ragging is no longer of concern to the staff team with the introduction of the Edgeville Wilderness Blacklist, available at Mandrith, by the Edgeville General Store.​

13. Mass Voting - Ban
Changing your IP, or using other devices to gain multiple vote books is against the rules. If you're caught you will be punished.

14. Support Clan Chat - Kick/Ban from Support CC, Mute
Elemental support clan chat is strictly for support/helping our community. Please keep all other conversations via pm or another clan chat as this is a distraction to those who actually need help. All rules apply above however, these are narrowed down forbidden in the support clan chat.

  • a. Trolling and disruptive behavior (ie spamming, flaming/flame-baiting, harrassing, inappropriate content, misleading/false information).
  • b. Luring is not punishable on Elemental however, the only exception to this rule is luring in the support clan chat.
  • c. Advertising marketing, gambling, and other clan chats/servers will be strictly forbbiden in support clan chat.
We are here to help in any way possible but, we are not here for the ranting in the support clan chat about being punished or a player scammed you or a glitched happened. Use our resources for that linked at the top of this thread.

15. Griefing - Jail/Ban
Griefing in any type of form will not be tolerated as it is done purely to ruin another player(s) elemental experience. This can consist of but not limited to:​

  • a. Planting flowers on other people's gambles.​
  • b. Standing or running over people's fights in edgeville.​
  • c. Purposely going out of your way to ruin Elemental events.​
  • d. Joining a group ironman just to take all the items/empty them.​
  • e. Standing or running over people's duels in the duel arena.​

Inappropriate Language: Infraction/Ban
Many communities are composed of different backgrounds and beliefs. As such, this community is composed of different beliefs, morals, sexual orientations etc., and we take the value of equality seriously. Remember that each person will take an insult differently depending on these values.

  • a. Topics, posts, PMs etc., that are directed at a single member, or group, to either defame them of their reputation, character or to simply insult, flame them directly etc., will result in infractions or a ban from the forum.​

2. Inappropriate Content: Infraction/Ban​

  • Material that can somehow insult women and males alike is not allowed on the forums. This includes material such as half-naked women, men, and media of such inappropriate acts (pornographic videos itself). This also includes text-based material in our threads, posts, avatars, profile page etc., and should the rule be broken - he/she will face a permanent removal from the community altogether.​
  • Inappropriate Content that provides media of drug use, bad behavior, and other various forms of content that are deemed inappropriate (at the discretion of the staff member) will be removed and enforced. This is not a community for such things and we do not want to advertise this on the website for our younger audience regardless if they know about it. This isn't what this community is for so keep it off.​
  • We will not tolerate inappropriate names that contain any vulgar language, hate crime, relationship to pornographic material, impersonations (members, mod, admin, owner etc.) or anything that would be considered inappropriate of any sort. Those who fail to comply with this rule will be requested to choose another username by a staff member (the member will have 24 hours to respond). After he or she has not responded or refused the change, their IP will be banned and the account deleted.​

Posts that do not contribute to the topic or the quoted text in that is in some form keeping to the main post is considered spam, this rule has been broken down though, read below:

  • a. Posts that consist of a single word (e.g. "nice") will be considered spamming on the forums and a warning or infraction will be given per the staff's discretion. The exception to this rule are the boards (announcements, updates, suggestions, introductions, vouches, and spam).​
  • b. Grave digging is the act of posting in a "dead thread", which is a thread that was not posted in for over fourteen (14) days. Unless you're posting useful information towards the topic at hand, don't do it.​
  • c. Bumping will be allowed on a topic (by the author) once every three (3) days. Bumping will not exempt you from rule 4.a.​
  • d. Trolling is not accepted on these forums, it's idiotic and immature, we do not accept this behavior and the member is eligible to be muted on the spot depending on the staff member. This applies to in-game, over the yell channel, and on the forums.​
  • e. Posting in the correct board helps us keep a nice, sleek looking forum at all times. Failure to do so causes them to look cluttered, an infraction will be given that expires will be handed out if not doing so.​

9. Likes System
The reputation system is for content that is found useful towards another member. Members caught abusing this or finding a loophole in obtaining an unfair amount of reputation will result in an infraction and their reputation restarted. Requesting likes points from others through discord, forums(thread/post/pm) and/or in-game(pm, public/clan chat or yell) will result in an infraction and a reset of their reputation points. Continuous failure to comply will result in temporary suspensions leading up to permanent bans.

10. Discord
Discord is something for the use of general purposes without having to post on the forums, do not be mistaken; it’s a right. It can be taken away from a member at the discretion of the staff member(s).

  • a. Flaming another member in the Discord is a temporary mute from the Discord. The punishments can be harsher in Discord as most new visitors will notice this feature at first sight.​
  • b. Flame baiting will and can be a mute from the Discord, it is the act of starting/causing arguments for no apparent reason or starting drama for no apparent reason.​
  • c. Staff impersonation is not tolerated on the Discord and will be dealt with harshly, a member is likely to be permanently removed from the community altogether.​
  • d. An advertisement is both a permanent ban on the Discord, server, and forums permanently.​

11. Invading Other Communities: IP-Ban
Invading other communities is without question a permanent ban from the forums and server, we do not tolerate this and want to remain peaceful throughout the RSPS community. Such things are a cause of desperation and there's not going to be a time where the administration will stoop to that level of "stealing" other's members - it's unacceptable and will be dealt with harshly.

12. Backseat Moderation
Backseat moderation is something that we simply do not allow because it causes drama throughout the community and questions on whether or not we are an authority figure or if the members themselves are. While we are all equal and should listen and learn from each other - that's simply how it is, we do not do this. Those who find something that needs to be reported or something of the sort, simply report it to a staff member, do not act like one and cause drama, this only causes an uproar.

By being on the forums and server (this being implied that you've already read the rules), you understand that you are responsible for your own actions. You understand that the rules stated above will be enforced at all times and the administration has the ability to further the punishment despite what it states above, this is the administration's discretion. We have permission to do what we want with your account as they are a property of ours and you are merely 'playing' on it. You understand that when a rule is broken, your account will be dealt with accordingly and fairly as possible through the system that we have made for the staff team and how people are dealt with.

  • You understand that we the administration have the ability and authority to alter your account at any time should we have to or feel we must check something onto one's account and agree that requesting a refund after an administrator has made an X change is not made.
  • You understand that the staff team is required to provide proof, however, we will not disclose a member's name (the one that reported you) if the member requests it. Many of the reports made in the report abuse board are hidden for a reason from others, however, we will do our best to provide the proof that we need.
  • You understand that we are not responsible for what is posted on these forums (while we will take action after it's either reported or we see it) so therefore someone that has been infected through these forums by a third party or by someone of this community, it's not our responsibility but it will be dealt with. So this being said, we are not responsible for ANY damage made to personal property or information being stolen. Per this section, you understand that inappropriate posts (as said above though, once it's reported or we see it - it will be dealt with) that a child MAY encounter such as pornographic material, promoting drug-related topics etc., it's not our responsibility, this is solely the parent's role. All emails or PMs to us by parents will either be replied to with simple words, or ignored and deleted - make no mistake, we will take care of it once reported or seen.
When reporting a member of the community you must provide a full-screen picture of the client and computer. We will no longer be accepting reports that have been cut-out, cropped etc., we expect the entire picture to be there; if it's not then we will not deal with the report. If you happen to have a reason to report a staff member it needs to be video proof, we will no longer accept pictures as proof as it is very easy to falsify proof and we do not need unnecessary drama caused by that. All punishment times can be altered depending on the severity of the rule broken.
